Our club thrives on the enjoyable efforts of volunteers working together to get things done and make things run smoothly for all our members.

Whatever your interests or how much time you can spare, volunteering is greatly appreciated by all our members and is also very rewarding.

So please do what you can to make our club fun!

Whether it be helping out at a working bee, at the bar, on a patrol boat, up in the tower, or jump on the maintenance or social committee. If you're not sure what to do or how to get started ask one of the committee or spend some time with someone who is doing it. We're all here to help :-)

We are always seeking Volunteers to assist us in 5 key areas:

1. Sea Rescue
   Whilst our experienced sailors will continue to be rostered on to "sea rescue duty", non-sailing members are encouraged to volunteer as 'assistants' on all three rescue boats involved in course setting, starting procedure and sailor safety. You may even consider obtaining your boat drivers licence and doing a safety handling course. Also, we need to expand our number of tractor drivers to launch and retrieve our rescue boats.
2. Race Management
   We currently have a small and dedicated team who control the racing and record the results from the control tower each race-day. Non-sailors who would like to 'learn the ropes in this important aspect of our club will add to the resources and experience of the current team.
3. Bar Assistance
   What better way to meet fellow members than at the Windward Bar on a Friday night or during the 'apres race' celebrations on race day. The bar contributes valuable funds for the future development of the club and this would not be possible but for the efforts of all those members behind the bar.

4. Social Events
   The club prides itself on the number and variety of social events held during the season. The social club co-ordinates the activities for the coming season. Usually it is left to a handful of members to set up the venue and organise the entertainment for those larger events. Members would be made most welcome if they could assist in this area.
5. Clubhouse & Yard Maintenance
   Suitable for all 'handy members'. The maintenance of the club occurs not only during working bees, but throughout the season. If you would like to use your handyman skills, here's a good opportunity to do so.  Just let us know what these skills are and we will contact you when we need them.
