Somers Yacht Club is beautifully located on the foreshore, with a spectacular outlook.

It is a great hub to not only to spend time with family and friends but to meet new people and while away some time.

Social Members can enjoy:

• relaxing with a view and refreshments
• spending time catching up
• the spacious upstairs clubroom
• the bar, deck and outdoor cooking facilities
• Friday Evening social catchup at 6pm with nibbles - check the mid week news to find out if it's hot chip night!
• Enjoy cards? Come and play Bridge Fridays at 3.45 pm
• Organised events
• helping to organise some events with others
• (Friday evening meals when offered, currently not avaible as we are between caterers - if you have some suggestions please contact us)

Volunteering

Social Members are actively encouraged to enjoy some time volunteering by to help our club run the way we would all like and to ensure we can offer as much as possible.

So if you would like to:

• have some fun for a couple of hours
• spare some time
• help our club run smoothly
• utilise your skills
• learn some new skills
• suggest some ideas

And remember:

• no experience necessary
• all training provided
• it's easier than you might think

You might like to help out by assisting either enjoying time 

• off the water:  organising social times -  club maintenance -  race days in the tower - bar duty
• and / or
• on the water: on one of the speed boat
