SOMERS YACHT CLUB AGM – SUNDAY 21st SEPTEMBER The Somers Yacht Club Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday 21st September 2025 at 10.30am. Nominations for office bearers close on Wednesday 10th September. The meeting will be followed by morning tea. All members are encouraged to attend. Minutes from the 2024 Annual General Meeting
MEMBERSHIP All members should now have received a membership renewal email for the 2025-2026 Sailing Season. Please remember that EVERY member of a couple and a family must be re – enrolled separately on REV sport. The link to find AS numbers is on the registration page. VALE DAVID TOOTELL Members of the SYC community will be saddened to know that David Tootell passed away 7/9/2025 after a short illness. We express our condolences to Caroline at this sad time WINTER DINNER 2025 - WE'D LOVE TO HEAR YOUR FEEDBACK If you attended the Winter Dinner in August, we'd love to hear your feedback to help us plan for next year's event. We've prepared a short feedback form, which should take less than 5 minutes to complete. Please follow this link Winter Dinner Feedback Form CLUB RESCUE BOAT VOLUNTEERS TRIVIA NIGHT - SATURDAY 13th SEPTEMBER 2025 ROCKWALL REPAIR DEECA will be carrying out repair works to the rock wall revetment to the west of the Club - the rock wall in front of 9 and 7 The Promenade. This will involve using the Crown land behind the sea rescue shed (to the west) as a staging ground. They will access the beach over the rock wall through the staging ground. At some point they will require access for lighter equipment through our leased area on the beach side of the clubhouse. The process has commenced and will take 6-8 weeks to complete.
